The chain behind Pixagram
Pixagram is a pixel-art social network whose posts, votes, images and payments live on their own blockchain, Pixa. This site is the developer side of it: the repositories, the libraries, the node software, the documentation and the live network, in one place.

Block 1,723,317 was signed a moment ago by rex. 21 witnesses are producing, and the median price feed reads 51 PIXA per PXS.
Each square is a block, coloured by its place in the witness schedule: one spectrum is one round, in which every witness signs once. A hollow square is a slot nobody filled. What Pixagram is
A social network on a chain
Pixagram looks like a photo app: a feed, profiles, likes, comments, communities. Underneath, every post and every vote is a transaction on Pixa, and each artwork is stored in its post as lossless WebP rather than linked from a server that may disappear; images inside blog posts are links, which the editor uploads to Arweave. Posting is free through recharging resource credits, and authors and curators are paid from the chain's own inflation.
A Hive fork, tuned
Pixa runs hived 1.30.1, built on hived 1.28.8, the software behind Hive and, before it, Steem. Blocks close every three seconds and are signed by up to 21 elected witnesses. What changed: the tokens are PIXA (liquid), Pixa Power (staked PIXA, counted in VESTS) and Pixa Supra (PXS), which promises no price — a Big Mac referenced supracoin; keys start with PIX; transactions can be as large as the voted block size, about 2 MiB; and both of Hive's passive-yield levers are welded to zero, so holding earns nothing — only producing blocks, posting and curating does.
Pictures into pixel art
The one piece that is not a blockchain is the converter: an SDXL pipeline with a depth ControlNet, a pixel-art LoRA and InstantID face preservation, running as a Hugging Face Space. It turns any photo with a face into 4K pixel art that still looks like the person. Nothing uploaded is stored.
Who runs what
The chain is run by its witnesses, elected by stake-weighted vote; the live count is at the top of this page, and the guide on this site explains how to join them. The app is served by six public API nodes, listed below. The code is developed under the pixagram-blockchain organisation on GitHub and published to npm under @pixagram and to Docker Hub under pixadock.

Public endpoints
All six serve the same Hive-compatible JSON-RPC over HTTPS POST, batches included, with CORS open. There is no testnet: pixagram.dev is the app's canary build, and anything broadcast through it is real.
